Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Owner IQ handles two kinds of information: information about the people who use Owner IQ, and business-contact information about the owners, officers, and other contacts of the companies in the Owner IQ database.
“Owner IQ,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of the Owner IQ service. Call OS, a calling workspace that can search Owner IQ, is a separate service with its own Privacy Policy.
Information in the Owner IQ database
Owner IQ is a business database of U.S. companies. For a company it may hold the company name, industry, address, main phone line, website, size and revenue figures or estimates, registration and licensing details, and public loan records, along with the names, titles, and business contact details of owners, officers, and other contacts, including direct and mobile numbers used for the business and business email addresses.
We compile it from:
- Public records and government data, such as U.S. Department of Transportation (FMCSA) carrier registrations and U.S. Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program loan data.
- Publicly available information, such as business websites, business listings, and other public web sources, including research performed with the help of AI tools.
- Business-information sources that publish or supply company and contact data.
A company can appear in several sources. Owner IQ merges them and shows how many sources contributed to a record. We do not intentionally collect sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or precise location into the database.
Information about our users
Account and billing
Name, email address, user identifier, organization, plan, sign-in method, and subscription status. Payment card data is handled by our payment processor and is not stored by Owner IQ.
Use of the service
Searches, filters, records viewed, selections, exports, and records sent to a calling queue, plus device, browser, IP address, and error information needed to run and secure the service. Sign-in state is kept in your browser’s storage by our sign-in provider. We do not use advertising cookies, and our site analytics do not use cookies.
Your organization’s own records
When your organization’s own records appear next to Owner IQ results, such as its own CRM records, lists its users imported, or numbers its users confirmed, those records remain your organization’s. They are visible only to your organization and are not added to the Owner IQ database.
How we use information
- Provide search, company detail, export, and calling-queue features, and apply plan limits.
- Keep the database accurate: merge and de-duplicate records, refresh them as sources change, and flag numbers that are disconnected or invalid.
- Honor removal and opt-out requests, and keep removed records from coming back.
- Secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce limits on bulk extraction.
- Process billing and communicate with customers about their accounts.
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements.
Signals about whether a phone number works, or has asked not to be called, may be used to flag or suppress that number. Counts of dial attempts and answers on our platforms may be used to rank numbers and areas in search. These are counts and statuses, not call content.
If you are listed in Owner IQ
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and the kinds of sources it came from;
- correct it;
- delete it and keep it out of the database; or
- stop making it available to customers.
Email support@owner-iq.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Include your name, the business name, and the phone number or email address you want us to look up. We may ask for information to confirm the request is yours, and we accept requests from authorized agents with proof of their authority. We respond within 45 days.
When we remove a record, we keep a minimal note, such as the phone number or email address, solely to keep it from being added back from another source. Removal from Owner IQ cannot recall copies a customer exported earlier, but our customers are required to honor requests not to be contacted.
Some state laws give these rights to their residents. We offer them to everyone listed in Owner IQ, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
If you use Owner IQ
You can update some account details in the product. To access, correct, export, or delete your account information, email support@owner-iq.com. We may need to confirm your identity and your organization’s authority before acting on a request, and some records must be kept for billing, security, or legal reasons.
What Owner IQ is not for
Owner IQ is a business-contact database for business-to-business outreach. It is not a consumer reporting agency, and its information may not be used to decide anyone’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Retention
Database records are kept while they remain useful and are refreshed, corrected, merged, or removed as sources change or on request. Account information is kept while the account is active and afterward as needed for billing, security, legal obligations, and disputes. Removal notes are kept so removal requests keep being honored.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the information we hold, including authenticated access, organization-scoped records, and limits on how many records can be exported at once. No system is completely secure. Report suspected security issues to support@owner-iq.com.
Children, location, and changes
Owner IQ is a business service. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.
Owner IQ covers U.S. businesses and is operated from the United States, where information is processed.
We may update this Policy as the service, the law, or our providers change. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date or other reasonable notice.
